Workday SME Administrator

Contract - end of 2019

San Francisco, California

  • Act as the single System Administrator of Workday
  • Effectively prioritize, escalate, and troubleshoot issues that occur
  • Execute system changes (updates, integrations, new configurations) and participate in all aspects of system testing.
  • Execute the full range of HRIS functions including business process configuration, security administration, custom report development, system updates, troubleshooting, training, and participation during implementation of new Workday modules
  • Provide Best Practice input for the configuration of Workday
  • Participate in identifying and testing enhancement opportunities for biannual Workday Releases
  • Provide guidance and support knowledge transfer for activities with HR staff
  • Work cross-functionally with team members to ensure all business needs and objectives are considered and satisfied
  • Act as the bridge between HR and IT
  • Other duties as assigned

Experience and expertise:
  • EIBs, calculated fields, complex reporting, Workday Objects
  • Known as being an analytical, innovative problem solver with a passion for driving change
  • Solid knowledge of principles, concepts, business processes and theories within HCM solutions with an ability to train and lead team members
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience in partnering with vendors, business stakeholders, and IT in the implementation and Business as Usual support of HRIS
  • Ability to interact and collaborate with all levels of personnel
  • Experience in Change Management to ensure successful deployment and adoption
  • Ability to exercise integrity and discretion with highly confidential information
  • BA or BS required, preferably in a Computer Science, Business, or Technology discipline
  • Minimally 5 years of HRIS experience
  • Minimally 3 years of Workday experience in Global HCM
