Software Engineer

UK Wide, Full Mobility required

I am partnering up with one of our long term clients to aid with the recruitment of Software Engineers to work UK wide on client sites. The organisation are a Global Digital consultancy who are an award-winning, market leader in their field with a sublime reputation for providing high-quality solutions for their customers.

They are globally recognised in numerous technology channels (e.g. Microsoft, salesforce, Big Data, Cloud, Java) and their aim is to provide an outstanding level of service to diverse set of customers. They have offices located throughout the UK and offer excellent benefits packages alongside the opportunity to work on cutting-edge Digital/Cloud-based projects in both the public and private sectors.

You will be embedded within a small team of DevOps engineers to produce pipelines which ultimately construct their application delivery processes. You will have exposure to both sides of the role, encompassing both hands of engineering and stakeholder facing responsibilities accompanied with ample support and training on both areas.

The overall focus of the DevOps team is to build out pipeline as a service with the intention of allowing their software engineers to simplify pipeline creation by choosing from a plethora of pre-tested and supported modules. It will be your key responsibility to ensure the smooth delivery of their applications into production.

As for yourself, I will list some of the key qualities that would make you an excellent fit for this position:
  • Strong experience with both Docker and Kubernetes
  • Strong experience with AWS Cloud technologies including EC2, ECS, VPC, RDS, Security Groups etc. Experience in alternative cloud technologies are also considered including Azure and google cloud.
  • Experience using Jenkins, Grade and execution
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, including engaging with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Linux and bash scripting background
  • Experience with either Java or Python Programming
