I am working in partnership with one of the largest privately owned software companies on the market. They are looking for a Lead Technical Support Consultant to provide remote 2nd line support, but also lead a team of 1st line tech support queries.
This company has a head count of over 80, but continually looking to add to their passionate team. The software products they are responsible for creating are the market leader in accountancy software, used by various Blue Chip clients. Your role would be to delegate tasks and responsibilities to 1st Line support engineers, whilst still remaining hands on with 2nd
line support yourself.
In terms of requirements, the ideal candidate would be able to offer a range of skills. However rather than just regurgitate the Job description, the client has highlighted to me some key skills they are looking for.Provide remote 2nd Line Support -
You will be able to demonstrate excellent customer support via phone, email and other channels.Leadership Experience -
This role will require you to lead a team of 1st
line engineers. Therefore ability to manage a team and offer support when needed would be beneficial.Problem solving -
My client is working with in various challenging environments. From supporting the rollout of new applications to Investigating, diagnosing and solving existing problems.
In return, you will benefit from a competitive base salary (between £30,000 - £37,000 )alongside a non-contributory pension.
