The SFDC manager serves as a mentor and coach for development professionals and is a key thought leader in the latest technologies and industry trends. This individual calibrates the capabilities of the existing team and assesses the need for change/improvement in the context of Southern Glazers's future IT needs and makes timely, appropriate adjustments. This role is responsible for the development, retention and recruitment of a highly skilled professional team.

Job Description


Role & Responsibilities
  • Assist with the planning for application consolidation / retirement and future application/platform road maps
  • Provide input to business relationship management teams regarding improvement goals for business divisions or functions that can be achieved with Salesforce.com solutions
  • Identify opportunities for technology improvements, improved organizational efficiency and effectiveness, and innovative solutions to help achieve business benefits through Salesforce.com development
  • Plan team's work tasks and use resources efficiently and cost effectively
  • Proactively work to reduce costs and improve productivity (continuous improvement)
  • Create measures for successful execution, including application development standards, policies, processes, procedures and controls
  • Plan and document succession planning within scope of responsibility
  • Lead the team responsible for Salesforce.com application configuration, support, and development tasks, including creating prototypes, translating functional requirements into technical specifications for development, data mapping, function mapping, setting of development tables and setting of transaction/control tables,
  • Coordinate with other leaders within the Solution Delivery group as well and other IT and business leaders to ensure holistic application solution designs to meet business needs
  • Implement, enforce, and improve application development standards, processes, procedures and controls
  • Ensure effective administration of, and compliance with, all internal processes, procedures and controls
  • Ensure the team is diligent in creating thorough solution documentation that can be used as input into future development tasks and training
  • Communicate effectively with IT and Business Unit management
  • Stay current on emerging Salesforce application solution trends, technologies, and best practices
  • Serve as an expert resource to IT and business leaders in the development of Salesforce.com solutions to meet business needs
  • Recruit, hire, train and develop a high performing work team, encouraging excellence and building a team with exceptional technical talent



Skills & Qualifications


  • Bachelor's Degree Required (Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field)
  • 10 or more years of work experience
  • 5 or more years of work experience in IT
  • 3 years of leadership experience managing application development teams
  • Expertise in the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of enterprise Salesforce.com solutions to achieve business results
  • Expertise in designing, developing, implementing and maintaining Salesfoce.com solutions to meet business / IT goals and objectives
  • Extensive experience with application development through the full software development life cycle (SDLC)
