Newcastle upon Tyne
I have partnered up with one of my longest tenured clients who have made the hire of an experienced Software Developer one of their top priorities for the foreseeable future. Why not kick off the Christmas spirit and treat yourself to n early Christmas Present with a new job at a client with huge aspirations for 2020?
The client in question are a North East based Consultancy who are looking to treble their workload in the coming year by winning new and interesting projects with enterprise level clients. At the moment however, they do possess an impressive repertoire with clients such as the DWP and the NHS just to name a few. They offer bespoke software solutions and cover a variety of different verticals. They are also very much committed to modern development practises and making sure all of their employees are exposed to the latest technologies and best practises when it comes to working environments.
In your role as a software developer you can expect to be involved in practises such as driving the development of public and private software functions for some of the most recognisable international companies, or potentially building ground breaking applications for smaller based clients. Your daily tasks could vary from day to day.
The requirements for this role are as follows:
- At least 2 years commercial development experience in Java/C#.NET/Scala or similar
- You do not need commercial experience in functional programming
- Some commercial experience in an agile environment and at least a commitment to modern development techniques
More desirable but by no means essential:
- Practical experience in Scala, Clojure, Haskell, SML, Scheme, Erlang, F# etc
- Excellent communication skills
- Proactive attitude and client facing skills
In return my client will offer you a very competitive salary plus benefits such as a bonus and pension scheme as well as a generous offering of holidays. Probably the most unique selling point for my client is the opportunity to up skill. If you have a burning desire to learn a new technology or try out a new area of IT then my client will fuel that fire and allow you to become a better person and employee at the same time.
If you like what you have read and want to explore this further by knowing a bit more about the role itself or the client then please do not hesitate to get in contact via the following means.
