Do you want to work with cutting edge technologies in an Agile environment?

Do you want to design and build greenfield Mobile applications?

Do you want the flexibility to work from home?

If the answer to all of the above is a resounding 'YES' then why not give the below ad a quick read...

I am engaged with an innovative and technologically progressive Software Company in the Oxford area who are looking to add to their growing engineering division by hiring an experienced Android Developer.

Your role will focus on the development of state-of-the-art software in the Healthcare and Biomedical Science space, literally building applications that help save lives. You will come in and work closely with different parts of the business, acting as something of an 'Android SME', both enhancing and creating Android applications.

You will work closely with DevOps Engineers to develop CI/CD pipelines and you will engage in Scrum ceremonies, helping the business promote modem engineering principles whilst at the same time ensuring cross-team collaboration. Fundamentally, you will be given the autonomy and trust to help shape the direction of their Android strategy and will be given all of the support you need to achieve this.

In terms of what they expect from you... there's quite a bit. So you'll be glad to know that I have included the main bits below:

Skills & Qualifications
  • Proven commercial experience developing Android applications, with proven experience in both Java and Kotlin.
  • Experience working in an Agile environment (Scrum), as well as an appreciation for DevOps/CI/CD.
  • Good knowledge of REST/JSON, as well as XML.
  • Good knowledge of tools including Git, Jenkins, CircleCI and Docker.
  • Good experience working with UI/UX and an appreciation for high-quality design.

In return, you will benefit from the opportunity to join an organisation that is all about career progression and personal development. Moreover, they offer hugely competitive base salaries alongside a comprehensive benefits package including a 5% pension, annual bonus, private healthcare and share options.
