Workday HRIS Lead

Remote, company based in OH



The HRIS Lead plays a critical role in driving the success of the Company's Talent, Learning and Recruiting solutions. Collaborates with the HRIS team and leads the HR Center of Excellence deployment of strategic Workday projects for the organization. The ideal candidate will have the requisite technical knowledge and project management capabilities to exceed organizational objectives. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

· Champion an innovative and agile mindset across the HR team - constructively challenge the status quo and collaborate with leadership to encourage continuous improvement

· Develop strategy to effectively integrate and implement Workday solutions to enhance Talent, Learning and Recruiting areas

· Own subject matter expertise for key Workday system functionalities while monitoring upcoming functionality to ensure continued compliance and to take advantage of opportunistic capabilities

· Ensure employee understanding of standards and best practices - including offering technical input, as needed; lead change management for major functionality updates

· Identify and execute solutions for technical problems and larger deficiencies - working with internal teams and vendor as appropriate

· Lead project management including establishing and communicating consistent process for prioritization of requests

· Deliver reporting strategy and oversee regular reviews of programs for leadership - offer insights and recommendations for improvement opportunities



· Bachelor's Degree or equivalent education/experience/training


· 5+ years of HR, IS or comparable experience in roles of increasing responsibility

· 3+ years of HRIS experience - some Workday experience required

· Experience as lead/owner of significant system or system functionality preferred

· Experience configuring Talent, Learning or Recruiting systems

· Experience coordinating and/or managing HR technology projects preferred

· Experience working with a shared service center environment preferred

· Experience with Microsoft tools and applications required


· Basic understanding of general HR processes, procedures, controls, regulations, and compliance requirements

· Analytical and problem-solving skills required. Attention to detail a must

· Proficient verbal and written communication skills to communicate with customers, peers, and vendors

· Ability to work under significant pressure, multi-task, and meet deadlines

· Demonstrate a high degree of confidentiality and sensitivity to compliance-related matters

· Ability to process complex information and identify solutions that meet both internal and business partner requirements

· Ability to handle ambiguity and fluid situations, demonstrating a pragmatic approach

· Sense of urgency in solving customer requests to ensure timely resolution
