Responsibilities

We are looking for a coder capable of taking our clients system to The Next Level. The Open Source system of our client is developed in Python. Are you willing to work for a company with an unique culture? At this organisation you get a lot of responsibility and participation. They expect you to contribute to the technical vision behind the system. There is no hierarchy in the company, they work via the holacracy method, your colleagues are self-starters who are not afraid to take the bull by it's horns.

That means:
  • Hands-on programming and both strategic and abstract thinking
  • You are not on your own, but your contribution has a lot of impact
  • The company gives you the opportunity to develop innovative Open Source software
  • Understanding of users and long-term technical objectives are essential here

Skills
  • At least 3 years of professional experience as a Python developer
  • Knowledge and experience of object oriented programming (preferably several programming languages)
  • Experience or affinity with techniques such as Docker, Redis, RabbitMQ and ElasticSearch or affinity with performance management and scaling of software systems.
  • The ability to look at the total system in an abstract way
  • The drive to make software systems smart, scalable and efficient
  • A good command of the Dutch language is a bonus, and English is a must.

What the company does
  • Our clients provides solutions for the government and semi-governmental organisation to automate and streamline their work processes internally, via their inhouse software product.
  • The organisation consists of 35 employees, with a development team of 10+ developers, will you be the next to join the team?

What you get in return
  • Great place to work in Amsterdam, where we value your vision and input
  • The possibility to work 50% remote and 50% at the office
  • Leisure is important. Evenings and weekends are yours
  • Great lunches and super work equipment (bring your own too!).
  • Doing what you're good at and above all giving you the space to become even better at it
  • Not to forget: a competitive salary and a training budget of 1500 annually.
