Workday Administrator- Gaithersburg, MD



The Workday HCM Administrator will work closely with the Workday HCM Administrator, Lead to implement configuration projects and to provide ongoing end-user support. This position is predominantly a systems back-end-facing role. The individual needs to have an understanding and experience in configuring benefits, absence, talent and performance modules, be able to develop reports, custom fields, troubleshoot technical issues, and maintain security. This position is critical to continuously streamline the Workday System and related business systems and processes.

Responsibilities:
  • Support and work in conjunction with the Workday HR Administrator Lead to optimally meet the companies needs by maintaining, andoptimizing Workday functionality in the following areas:
    • HCM Security
    • Learning and Talent
    • Absence
    • Compensation
    • Benefits
  • Support and work in conjunction with the Workday HR Administrator Lead to rollout new Workday functionality, particularly the bi-annual releases.
  • Create and maintain project documentation for operational requirements, configuration, trouble-shooting procedures and decisions.
  • Actively perform research to implement creative solutions that meet complex AHC needs and operational requirements.
  • Coordinate and provide project management for semi-annual Workday release testing and configuration
  • Help maintain Workday reports, dashboards, and calculated fields.
  • Continuously improve processes and collaborate with department leads in Finance & Accounting, Payroll, IT and Supply Chain to configure, test, and deploy business processes and system-based solutions.




Requirements:
  • A Bachelor's degree in, Information Systems, Human Resources, Business Administration, or other field that is directly applicable to the position or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 2 years' Workday experience Workday HCM (Benefits, Recruiting, Compensation, Absence Management, and Security maintenance) is required.
  • Workday Pro certification(s) preferred (HCM, Benefits, Security and/or Absence)
  • Experience administering Workday applications and knowledge of enterprise-level applications.
