Medicare Agent Onboarding Mgr | Tampa, FL | $70K

This role manages a team responsible for onboarding Medicare agents as well as external broker agencies and partners. Ensures high quality, timely, cost effective onboarding of Medicare agents. Support agents in their needs and ensure that the support provided will propel the program's scalability as our Medicare Advantage program grows. Recommends, coordinates and directs solutions to improve operations and broker service, working cross-functionally throughout the organization. Responsible for ensuring positive broker experience, from contracting, on boarding, training, payment of commissions and ongoing communications. The manager leads a team of contracting specialists that interact with licensed agents & sales representatives & insurance carriers to provide them with information to address inquiries regarding products, services, contracts, licensing and carrier appointments. They are responsible for Agent/Agency carrier appointments and establishing Agents/Agencies and commission schedules within the company's applicable systems. Direct reports include Agent Contracting Specialists. Provides oversight of approximately 4-7 direct reports.

* Manages a structured onboarding agent process, leveraging corporate contracting, certification and training processes, tools and systems. This includes, contracting, licensing/appointment, certification, training, enrollment administration, commission payment, agent servicing and compliance
* Provides oversight for maintaining a License Management Reporting System that keeps track of the Agents' acquired state licenses, Carrier/Plan Sponsor appointments, and any upcoming license renewals.
* Work closely with Legal to ensure broker contract terms and conditions meet business and compliance needs
* Ensure compliance of the areas managed with all regulatory requirements, mandates, policies and other requirements.

Education and Work Experience
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
* Dedicated health insurance experience and an understanding of Medicare services and requirements.
* Must have management or supervisory experience at an insurance broker, carrier, or third party administrator (can be concurrent with overall experience).
* Able to work with minimal supervision and as part of a diverse team
* Operational understanding and competence of account management, operations and compliance
* Process-oriented with strong organization and planning skills
* Track record of professional/corporate customer service skills
* Demonstrable competency with MS office word, databases and general technical trouble shooting
* Effectively able to organize, problem solve, analyze information, document and communicate as required by the position
