The Project Lead is responsible for assisting with day to day tasks involving all aspects of the telecom lifecycle as necessary. The Project Lead will be working on projects such as corporate wide vendor changes, service upgrades, billing reviews, etc.
Project manage all company-wide telecom initiatives from conception to completion
Support voice and data connections including POTs, VoIP, SIP, broadband, fiber and mobile at all Company locations
Oversee escalated troubleshooting of day to day telecommunication issues
Promote communication between internal support and vendor support to ensure timely resolution of telecom issues
Escalated point of contact for inside wiring technicians for the purpose of ensuring all company locations are operating at maximum capacity and in accordance with company standard design
Manage cellphone and mobile devices inventory, deployment and usage
Create and maintain documentation of department processes and procedures
Oversee maintenance of telecommunication services inventory database
Assist in management of telecom vendor relationships and contracts
Analyze EOM and EOQ billing reports from TEM. Report final numbers to Accounting
Assist Telecom Manager with creation of annual budgets by location
Prepare ad hoc reports as requested by various departments throughout the company
Maintain open dialogue and relationships within IT and with other departments to ensure that optimal connectivity and system security is maintained
Perform special projects as needed or directed. On call availability as needed on a rotating scheduleQualifications
Bachelor's degree in business management, computer science, or other information systems related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
Three to five years of experience in a telecom support and/or billing environment
Proven success managing large scale projects
Ideal candidate will be highly organized, task oriented, capable of managing multiple complex tasks and able to work with several groups at once. Excellent follow through skills
In-depth understanding of project management tasks
Strong problem solving and effective interpersonal and communication skills
Advanced understanding LEC and CLEC billing
Ability to pursue challenging issues with telecom providers ensuring timely resolution
General understanding of telecom cabling and connectivity
Experience with telecommunications expense management services (TEM)
Proficient in MS Office suite, specifically Excel skills such as vlookup, pivot tables, etc.
