CTO - Helsinki (Biomedical/Genomic Data)

A newly created role to join an agile management team who provides Bio-IT solutions to their clients in the bio-medical field. Their solutions enable you to turn bio-medical data into new insights and knowledge. Their clients range from the top 10 global pharmaceutical companies via leading health-care organisations and research groups to up and coming start-ups. Their goal is to enable better health, research and business innovations through data-driven science.

You would be joining a team where you will be guiding the implementation of a SaaS solution in Amazon Cloud within the Bio-medical Industry.

The major components of their technology stack are Python 3.8+, React.js, Django, Docker, Javascript, Terraform, PostgreSQL, Amazon Athena and they use GitLab for project code management.



What they need:

* Solid experience with SaaS solutions (AWS) and successful project examples utilising Amazon cloud

* Deep understanding of biomedical/genomic data and its use

* Vision to manage a SaaS solution development roadmap and guide its progress from development to deployment

* Expertise to develop the technical aspects of their company's strategy

* Ability to search for new technologies that can increase their company's competitive advantage

* Customer-oriented thinking and excellent communication skills

* Respond to feedback from stakeholders and use it to make improvements or adjustments to their technology roadmap

* Willingness to travel up to 25% and work with international sales

* Previous work experience as a Chief Technology Officer or similar leadership role

* Wide professional network in the biomedical field
