Job Description

I ma working with a powerhouse int he technology consultancy space who are hiring for a senior position to sit in the Google Cloud team. This is a director position and requires extensive background in data & analytics as well as recent experience within Google cloud/GCP.

Role & Responsibilities
  • Wear multiple hats as a Director of Technology, Principal Technology Consultant and Engagement Lead working with the delivery teams in large scale complex programmes
  • Lead Data Analytics and GCP initiatives whilst produce relevant deliverables
  • Drive Data Analytics and GCP offering and go-to market strategy in Western Europe
  • Lead technology consulting, architecture engagements and major transformation through execution phases and where applicable, drive internal, client and third-party vendor mixed teams
  • Stay abreast of current and emerging trends, unique opportunities and challenges of the space/markets and geographies in which the clients operate, and how it affects clients' business and initiatives
  • Undertake service design and continuously improve our methodology and consulting offering
  • Engage customer organizations at the executive / C-level, helping customers drive enterprise-wide agenda
  • Build and lead the team of tech consultants serving your target industries
  • Lead relevant initiatives and producing deliverables
  • Stay abreast of current and emerging trends, unique opportunities and challenges of the space/markets and geographies in which the clients operate, and how it affects clients' business and initiatives
  • Serve as the engagement lead, working directly with client product, marketing, and/or IT teams to position the engagement for success
  • Understand the intersection between technology, customers, and business
  • Responsible for shaping Data/GCP solutions and properly scoping / pricing engagements, establishing optimal operating models and project team organization, and leading the transition from the sales process to the delivery phase
  • Understand the full end-end product cycle, from product vision/strategy, user experience design through development and release
  • Work closely with project/program management to ensure successful delivery through an integrated delivery model
  • Lead Practice development, driving and orchestrating transformation and product solutions, teams, strategic roadmaps, and continuous improvement/optimization programs
  • Ensure projects are delivered within the agreed schedule and budget while ensuring quality
  • Deliver clear and consistent communications within projects and across stakeholders of all levels
  • Lead meetings, design activities, review sessions and retrospectives
  • Establish and cultivate strong relationships with clients at senior levels as well as external and internal partners to maximize growth within an account/client portfolio
  • Develop effective relationships with key internal executives, BU heads, Account Managers, Solution SME's, Sales and Delivery Leaders
  • Drive revenue within the client / account portfolio by identifying opportunities and influence / sell-in services
  • Support sales / pre-sales activities by assessing Data and GCP opportunities, responding to RFP's, creating proposals and presentations, establishing relationships with clients and prospective clients, and helping to close / sign new deals

Skills & Qualifications
  • Industry visionary and avid technologist at heart
  • Extensive technology experience in the areas of Data Analytics and Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
  • Managerial / team leadership experience in leading the Data Analytics and Cloud consulting arm of a complex business
  • Extensive experience developing and growing client relationships and leading teams delivering end-to-end solutions
  • Cloud data platforms, GCP, BI, data warehousing, data lakes
  • Awareness of Cloud (GCP), Big Data, Analytics, and Data Science technologies and trends
  • High achiever with a passion for success and a history of driving large scale Sitecore transformation projects
  • Desire to learn & expand your comfort zone whenever a new technological trend in the relevant areas arises
  • Confident in expressing points-of-view, making recommendations and presenting analysis and recommendations up to board level where appropriate
  • Able to articulate the pros and cons of technology choices and solution design decisions and to construct and present rational options to clients and prospective clients on the options they have
  • Ability to operate at the strategic level, yet being close enough to the details to add value to clients and be a real support to your team
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proven ability to manage client engagements under pressure to successful completion
