You will play an important role in creating the high level design artefacts, delivering quality code, and overseeing testing and support activities related to implementation

We hope you can contribute towards a knowledge-sharing and learning culture, mentoring more junior members to the team as they begin their careers in software development.

You should demonstrate excellent technical ability and best practice in the engineering environment, continuing the culture of professionalism and support to colleagues

We are looking for you to bring some of the following skills & experiences:
  • An academic background in IT or engineering (or equivalent years of experience)
  • Professional experience in software development
  • Experience with at least one OOP language such as Java, Python, C#
  • Knowledge or experience with frontend technologies including Javascript/Typescript and React
  • Experience with cloud technologies
  • Experience working towards devops principles, CI/CD, and QA/testing
  • Experience with container technology and server-less architecture

What's in it for you?

This is an opportunity to play a key role in the future of the companies development, you will have autonomy over your tasks and the ability to grow the team as an early leader within the development environment

You will benefit from the stability of an established organisation whilst also being part of a flat structure where we have retained a "small company" feel. Innovation is greatly valued, and a culture of knowledge-sharing runs throughout the business

There is a dedicated budget for learning and development to help you broaden your skillset - whether you are interested to take courses, certifications, or attend industry events

There are regular hackathons and professional events hosted during working hours for you to attend, and colleagues are welcome to host talks and lectures on areas which interest them

We also value the social culture which has developed amongst teams and host monthly gatherings, games nights, lunches, and company-wide annual events which you can choose to attend

Flexitime and hybrid working is offered as standard practice, and can be adapted to suit your lifestyle outside of work
