Senior SRE Engineer (B2B Contract), Remote

There's a new role available for a very successful software company based in the UK. They are a supplier of enterprise resource and planning software to small businesses. They now have 6.1 million customers world-wide.



They are looking for:



1 x Senior SRE Engineer



This role offers the following:

- Up to £500 per day
- B2b contract
- Fully remote working
- 18 month contract (with extension)



What you'll do:

- Own initiatives aimed at improving processes and systems related to OS and cloud instance validation, performance optimization, core network/VPC design etc
- Design, scale, and secure infrastructure to stay ahead of business needs through fault-tolerant architecture design, performance testing, profiling, and tuning, and capacity planning
- Drive innovation and automation
- Promote SRE good practices to help us grow in a sustainable way
- Understand Cloud Operations from a customer and commercial perspective building relationships with key stakeholders
- Use your product development experience to build and take ownership of services, tools, and components to support the function and teams
- Provide mentorship on best practices for development, backend operations and integration
- Champion and promote the SRE function as a centre of excellence



Requirements:

- DevOps expertise
- Proficiency with C#
- Knowledge and experience of scripting languages such as Bash, PowerShell
- Significant experience with public cloud platforms - AWS and/or Azure
- Infrastructure as Code experience with tooling such as Terraform, AWS CloudFormation/CDK and/or Azure ARM/Bicep
- Experience with containers and container orchestration technologies - Docker, AWS ECS/Fargate, AKS, Kubernetes
