We are currently collaborating with an important Chemical company worldwide that has established its technological hub in Madrid.

We are looking for a Supply Chain Planning Senior DevOps Engineer profile to join this technological HUB.


In your role as Senior DevOps Engineer for Supply Chain Planning, you will develop and support (DevOps) our supply chain planning systems:
  • Start your journey to fully embrace our existing and new planning technology OMP, SAP S/4 ePP/DS.
  • Work in an agile way within a virtual global team, learning by doing, shadowing colleagues, and developing the system applications, configuration and On-Going support.
  • Work on user stories and change requests. Actively pull and take over tasks and work self-organized in our squads.


Your main responsibilities:
  • Act as an application developer of our global company digital supply chain team, supporting digital ambitions. Helping our global digital service team to identify, execute and implement customer-centric digital solutions in an actionable and measurable way.
  • Collaborate with colleagues in a self-organized way and in agile teams, quickly buildup knowledge on specific supply chain planning processes.
  • Implementation of the user stories with the teams using the programming languages such as OPAL, C++ and python, SQL
  • Deep-dive into the supply chain planning environment with a focus on Production Planning and Detailed Scheduling
  • Make best use of our supply chain planning tools (like S/4, ePP/DS, SAP APO, SAP IBP, OMP)
  • Be part of one of our supply chain planning squads to work on functional development, supply chain planning solution design, system configuration as Internal well as on-going support after roll out in BUs/ODs.
  • Shape the future of supply chain planning landscape by creating solution designs and intensively interact with business units on their specific requests.
  • Your daily routine will start with an agile stand-up meeting and you will work on functional designs and implementations, technical setups, coding and configurations, functional testing and documentation, debugging, user acceptance testing, post go-life ongoing support as well as training key users in various business units and countries, take care of master data setup etc.
  • Focus on the needs our internal customers and provide a sustainable and reliable post-go-live-services


Our main requirements:
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in one of the areas: Software Engineering, Information Technology, supply chain management, Industrial Engineering or Computer Science
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in supply chain planning with good understanding of a planning system like S/4 ePP/DS, OMP, O9, Oracle or others.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in programming languages such as Java, C++, OPAL, SQL, python
  • Excellent communication skills in English for the interaction with customers and / or Internal business partners
  • Development language SAP ABAP
  • Coding experience in any further programming language like JAVA, C#, SQL, OPAL, etc.
  • Detailed Process knowledge of supply chain planning at least in one of below area: Demand Planning, S&OP, Supply Planning, Detailed Planning & Scheduling
  • Technical affinity and DevOps knowledge of supply chain planning related solutions
  • Openness to new trends and innovative solutions
  • Strong collaboration skills with diverse team members
  • Ability to work in a multicultural team spread across the globe
