Software Development Engineer - Java & JS - Portugal - 100% remote

We are collaborating with a technological company that is looking for a professional to join the global engineering team in order to develop and maintain their own data software suite in a rapid environment with challenging future opportunities.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and test Java software components.
• Develop and test efficient and intuitive user interfaces.
• Support technical team in the resolution of customer issues.
• Author developer documentation and participate in the development of end-user documentation
• Mentor and advise junior team members. Support consultants, partners, and the open source community.

Requirements:

• 3+ Years experience in Java Object Oriented Software Development. Professional experience in troubleshooting, maintenance, and development
• Experience in data-driven applications connected to relations databases,
• Experience in XML sources, web services, flat file, and big data driven backend system.
• Experience with SQL and an understanding of relational databases and architecture.
• Experience with scalability analysis and performance monitoring and measuring techniques.
• Experience with web service technologies (REST, JAX-WS, etc.)
• Experience with software development best practices and design patterns
• Experience with build related tools such as Ant, Ivy, and/or Maven
• Experience with testing frameworks such as JUnit and Mockito
