Tech Lead - Java - Oslo


We are searching for a Tech Lead to join the team in Oslo!

As a leading FinTech company, we provide technology products and solutions to the financial markets industry

With 20+ years domain experience, we have helped users make sense of the financial data relevant to them - such as shares, funds, research reports, and company news

We aim to deliver user-friendly and flexible solutions so users can take efficient and informed actions in this fast-paced industry

In this position, you will be leading a cross-functional team of 8 developers, working with technologies such as Java, SQL, Kotlin, Hibernate, and Kubernetes

You will take ownership of the backend development for our SaaS solutions, and contribute to all phases of the software development lifecycle

Your role and responsibilities can include:
  • Designing and delivering backend architecture and components for scalability, performance, and reliability
  • Owning and maintaining efficient, reusable, and reliable code, ensuring quality and consistency across the team
  • Identify potential issues, and create solutions to these problems.
  • Communicate with teams across the business to maintain a collaborative working environment, and contribute to "bigger picture" ideas

Our head office is located in Oslo where you will be based close to the technical teams, our additional offices are based across the Nordics and wider Europe

We are looking for you to bring:
  • Professional experience with Java development
  • Experience with technologies such as Hibernate, Kubernetes, Git, SQL, and processes such as CI/CD and test-driven development
  • Experience leading/mentoring colleagues
  • Ability to gather requirements and translate these into technical actions
  • Domain experience within finance is beneficial
