Database Specialist

For innovative and global pharmaceutical company involved in clinical research solutions and in tackling the complexity of drug development, we are currently looking for a Database Specialist.

The person will be responsible for evaluating , programming and implementing applications for documentation and to support the laboratory processes as well as maintaining the databases and software configuration.



Tasks:

• Design database systems and management tools.
• Installs, updates, and maintains computer databases.
• Assesses database performance by developing protocols to measure results and identify problem areas.
• Supports database performance by monitoring, evaluating, and resolving processing and programming problems.
• Secures database by preparing access and control policies and procedures and implementing disaster recovery procedures.
• Supports application design by contributing expertise to operations and technical support teams.
• Provides technical support to employees.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years work experience in database administration
• Degree in Bioinformatics, computer science or IT
• Completion of relevant industry-specific certification
• German is a plus
