Data Warehouse Specialist - Central Copenhagen

We are seeking an exceptional candidate with a solid background in data architecture, data modeling, and data mining to join our team as a Data Warehouse Specialist. As a key member of the organisation, you will play a vital role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our data warehouse environment while ensuring the accuracy and consistency of data within it. Your expertise will enable you to develop efficient ETL processes, create insightful reports and dashboards, and collaborate closely with our team and clients to deliver data solutions that align with our strategic objectives.

Responsibilities:

• Employ industry best practices and standards to design, develop, and maintain our data warehouse environment.
• Collaborate with analysts and developers to identify and extract data from operational systems for inclusion in the data warehouse.
• Integrate the data warehouse environment with other systems and applications in coordination with our team members.
• Develop robust ETL processes to facilitate accurate and efficient data transfer into the data warehouse.
• Engage with stakeholders to understand business requirements and craft data solutions that meet their needs.
• Create and implement dimensional data models to enhance reporting and analysis capabilities.
• Identify and address data quality issues, ensuring the utmost accuracy and consistency within the data warehouse.
• Utilise SQL queries and stored procedures to support reporting and analysis requirements.
• Continuously monitor and optimise data warehouse performance.
• Document the data warehouse environment comprehensively, including data models, dictionaries, and technical specifications.
• Oversee data warehouse security measures.
• Provide training and support to both internal and external users of the data warehouse.

Requirements:

• A degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
• Excellent communication skills, enabling effective interaction with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong interpersonal abilities, allowing for successful collaboration with individuals at all levels of the organisation.
• Proven experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining data warehouse environments.
• Proficiency in ETL development using tools like SSIS.
• Strong SQL skills and experience working with relational databases such as SQL Server.
• Familiarity with data visualisation tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Background in the Financial Services sector with a solid understanding of accounting and financial data.
