Java System Analyst

Job Description

My client is a leading F&B retail chain which operates over 1,000 outlets in Hong Kong, China and overseas. They're now looking for passionate System Analyst to join the team!


Role & Responsibilities

• Provide pro-active technology solutions support in the analysis, design, planning, and governance of programmers, projects and change initiatives
• Undertake analysis of technology solution options and associated costs, conduct gap analysis, and proof of concepts for new solutions, as appropriate.
• Determine and create a solution architecture and design to effectively meet requirements and costs & maintaining the integrity of the technology strategy and enterprise architecture road map and standards.
• Manage vendors to ensure deliverable of products and services on time
• Consolidate and analyze requirements to propose feasible and practical solution(s). And, corresponding Requirements and Design are required to be documented.
• Manage a team to provide 'IT professional service to internal customers and comply with IT governance and audit requirement.
• Able to communicate with people at all levels of the organization and cope with a fast-paced environment.

Skills & Qualifications

• Degree holder in Computer Science or related disciplines
• Over 6 years solid working experience on system development with Java, J2EE, Spring Framework, .Net
• Experience of developing solutions on hybrid architecture (On-premises and SaaS)
• In-depth technical knowledge on modern web application development using HTML/CSS/JavaScript, Node.js, jQuery/React/Vue/Angular
• Experience in handling relational databases like Oracle DB, MSSQL
• Experience in GraphQL, MongoDB, MariaDB, Redis, AmazonRDS would be a plus
• In-depth knowledge and practical experience with delivering service-oriented architecture (SOA) designs, cloud native applications and micro service architecture design
• Solid experience on deploying high-availability applications on Azure and AWS
• Solid experience in driving Agile, DevOps and Test-driven-development (TDD) practice in a team with off-site developers and multiple vendors
• Experience in F&B, Retail or Hospitality Industry would be an advantage
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Familiar with concepts on enterprise architecture framework
• Self-motivated, result-driven and capable to work under pressure
• Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese
