Infrastructure Engineer

Currently working with an innovative company within the Health care sector. Established in 2013, they have a headcount of approx 97 health care professionals, with a talented 10 - person tech team. They have developed multiple advanced apps for both doctors and patients to help individuals optimise their health in response to the huge rise in lifestyle related health problems and the growing cost of health care.



With over 200 sampling points across Sweden, they allow customers to get regular health checks, and, through their digital platform, users receive instant feedback on test results, which can then be personally commented on by doctors to advise on how they can optimize their health going forward to prevent long term health issues!

They are now looking to expand their team with talented team with an Infrastructure developer.

Role & Responsibilities

• Working with a cutting edge tech stack to build an all new suite of solutions/features within a brand new events-driven architecture
• building/maintaining their infrastructure as it scales, fragmenting/migrating the old style infra over an events-driven version, and ensuring that all parts of the system are highly scalable, available, secure and also high performance
• Working closely with a talented team of software developer on a pioneering product to revolutionize the health care sector!

  Working extensively with Apache Kafka to implement events-driven architectural patterns to further improve the efficiency of the system for end-users/patients

Skills & Qualifications

• Strong experience working with monitoring solutions is essential - you will be implementing infra monitoring and taking on responsibility for the in-house overview of the entire health of the platform, working closely with the healthcare professionals!
• Experience of working within microserviced (Docker) Events-Driven architectures
  • This is a firm requirement - the team works with Apache Kafka for events-sourcing
  • Candidates must have worked in events-based environments - RabbitMQ, GCP Pub/Sub, KubeMQ are all super valuable
• Experience working within cloud-native infrastructures
  • AWS environment with FarGate, CloudFormation* and ECS
  • Other cloud providers are acceptable too
• 
  
  Experience of working with a modern monitoring solution - the team currently uses DataDog - but Prometheus, Kibana, Grafana are all acceptable alternatives
• Experience within software development; they code in Node (Typescript), React, Next.JS - if you have a background in development and some experience on the infrastructure side, you could still be very relevant for this role!
