Backend Java Developer - Stockholm

We have an exciting opportunity with one of our clients currently hiring for a Backend Java Developer in Stockholm, Sweden.

They're one of the worlds leading manufacturers of household goods and appliances, and are now looking to bridge the gap between their products and increase consumer interaction by beginning development of their IoT mobile application.

In this role, you will be in contact and collaboration with various different aspects of the business, including different areas of the development teams, IT, research and development, marketing and design teams to problem solve and work on areas of continuous improvement.

The Role

• Be an active part of participating in the project road map discussions, giving input on design, scalability and performance
• Contribute to product delivery through writing clean code
• Developing and designing the backend of the mobile application
• Actively taking part in in peer review sessions
• taking part in various team activities including sprint planning, scrum stand-ups etc

Skills & Qualifications

• 4+ years experience developing commercial level software with Java
• Experienced with Spring & Spring Boot frameworks
• Exposure to the entire development lifecycle - Design, implementation, testing, CI/CD
• Hands on experience with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Demonstrated background working with SQL databases (MongoDB too)
• Ability to operate with typical DevOps practices
• Experience with Redis, Kafka, developing RESTful-services is a plus
• Previous experience developing mobile applications is also a bonus.
