Position Reports To: Director, Web, and Software Development

Position Summary: We are seeking a dynamic and talented Engineering Manager to spearhead the development of a cutting-edge global e-commerce platform. Our ideal candidate possesses a blend of creative thinking, extensive engineering experience, and exceptional leadership skills. They must demonstrate a keen interest in staying updated with the latest technological advancements and exhibit a relentless commitment to managing fast-paced environments.

In this role, you will lead our development team in achieving our online revenue targets while delivering an exceptional user experience on a scalable and reliable platform.

Responsibilities:

BUSINESS/PRODUCT LEADERSHIP

● Collaborate with key stakeholders to define development roadmaps and provide progress reports

● Identify opportunities for innovative solutions and enhancements to boost productivity and profitability

● Build and nurture a team of highly skilled engineers

● Plan and guide the development team to ensure successful project completion within deadlines and budgets

● Negotiate and finalize hardware, software, and service purchases

TECHNICAL LEADERSHIP

● Understand and contribute to the technical solution from design to implementation

● Utilize DevOps practices to achieve high-quality outcomes and process automation

● Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create elegant and engaging user experiences

Qualifications:

● Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field

● Over 7 years of experience in software development

● Minimum 3 years of experience in managing software engineers, including recruitment and performance management ● Strong understanding of current software development best practices

● Proficiency in agile development methodologies

● Ability to communicate complex technical information effectively to diverse audiences

● Experience in designing, developing, and leading scaleable and secure web software solutions

● Sound knowledge of essential tools, including object-oriented programming on the LAMP stack, PHP, and front-end development frameworks like AngularJS

● Familiarity with cloud infrastructure

Preferred

● Experience in developing or leading development using the Magento e-commerce platform and the AWS cloud platform
