Responsibilities:
Serve as a technology subject matter expert for internal and external stakeholders and provide direction for all firm mandated controls and compliance initiatives, all projects within
the group and in creating a technology domain roadmap

Extensive experience in Capacity estimations, timelines, Change control process, Node design, Annual maintenance renewal process, costing, and Software/hardware maintenance with EOV's (End of Version/product).

Expertise in generating server performance reports, space utilization, Server CPU & I/O utilization reports, operation Scorecards, Business reports, Backup strategies & Policies.
Extensive Knowledge in backup and restore on TARA, NETBACKUP and Data Domain.
Involved in analyzing customer's business requirement and translated to technical requirements and architect the ELT solution by providing logical and Physical data model and had taken the lead in implementing the solution with the development team.
Engaging with the Technical Leads to establish technical direction & approaches
Mentor team members on software development best practices, including automated build and test, CI/CD for programs
New node Installations and Node Merge Activities
Database version upgrades and patch update
Excellent knowledge on Teradata change control process
Expertise in generating Space utilization reports and Users query performance reports
Expertise in Teradata space estimations for future projects.
Create new workloads, review and change existing workload priorities in TASM
Setup Audit reports for DBA and privileged user id activities
Setup roles, profiles for Application, business, Support user ids
Perform table Indexing, data compression and statistics collection
Perform Query tuning and system performance improvements
Investigate batch performance issues and provide solutions
Monitor database space availability and perform capacity planning
Setup COB(continuity of Business) environments and create COB TDM jobs
Perform production Data Migration activities between Teradata servers
Provide support to SAS, Data stage, BO teams Teradata related requests
Qualifications:

8-10 years of relevant experience in an Engineering role
Experience working in Financial Services or a large complex and/or global environment
Project Management experience
Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
Comprehensive knowledge of design metrics, analytics tools, benchmarking activities and related reporting to identify best practices
Demonstrated analytic/diagnostic skills
Ability to work in a matrix environment and partner with virtual teams
Ability to work independently, multi-task, and take ownership of various parts of a project or initiative
Ability to work under pressure and manage to tight deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements
Proven track record of operational process change and improvement
Education:

Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience
Master's degree preferred
Teradata Certification is a plus
