UI Software Engineer

Opportunity:


We are looking for a Software Engineer for a large multinational company, leader in the Industrial and technological sector, who is developing its technological HUB in Portugal and its own SaaS technology software.


Responsibilities:


The ideal candidate would be a self-taught, energetic individual unafraid to question assumptions and be imaginative. Candidate should care deeply about user experience, design and simplicity.


Participated in product requirements discussions with Product Management, Product Owner, Engineering Leader and UX.

Capture system-level requirements through brainstorming with senior architects, data scientists, business, and product managers.

Participate in technical discussions; participate in technical projects and present technical ideas through the board.

Knowledge or willing to learn machine learning platform and framework, for example. PyTorch, M.L.Flow; and libraries, e.g. scikit-learn; a definite advantage.

Deep knowledge of data structures, data modeling and software architecture.

Possess advanced domain knowledge and show strong customer focus. Specialist in processes/methodologies and skilled in build, release & deployment (CI/CD) processes.

Be an expert in evaluating application performance and optimizing/improving it through design and coding best practices.


Requirements:


Fluent English

4+ years of experience building cutting edge web applications, dashboards and/or workflow systems using Javascript/typescript.

React, AngularJS or Vue experience; HTML5, CSS, D3, Loopback, REST/JSON.

Experience in developing solutions using open source and DevOps frameworks and tools such as Github, Selenium.

Experience working with Agile development practices (Scrum, TDD).

Hands-on experience with front-end testing using Mocha, Jasmine, Selenium or equivalent framework.

Experience with container technology, docker, Kubernetes is a plus.

Database experience with RDBMS and NoSQL.

Experiences with automation/configuration management using Jenkins, Puppet, Chef or equivalent technologies; and software configuration tools such as GIT, Perforce).

Experience with build script and CI/CD.

Hands-on experience in Secure-SDLC, SAST, DAST methodologies and tools.

Good communication and interpersonal relationships.
