Technical Lead - PHP / AWS

Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor a team of developers, providing technical guidance, fostering growth, and promoting best practices.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand project requirements and translate them into scalable architectural designs.
• Design, implement, and maintain high-performance backend systems using PHP and AWS services (Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3, etc.).
• Ensure adherence to coding standards, code reviews, and continuous integration processes.
• Drive architectural decisions that align with best practices, scalability, security, and performance.
• Work closely with project managers to estimate efforts, manage timelines, and communicate technical aspects to non-technical stakeholders.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends, and leverage them to drive innovation in projects.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• 5+ years of professional experience in software development with significant PHP expertise.
• Proven experience designing and implementing complex systems on AWS, including serverless architecture.
• Strong knowledge of PHP frameworks (Laravel, Symfony, etc.) and database technologies (MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.).
• Proficiency in deploying and managing AWS resources using Infrastructure as Code (CloudFormation, Terraform, etc.).
• Excellent understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and best practices in software design.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and guide development teams.
• AWS certification (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect) is a plus.
• Effective communication skills to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
