About the Role

As an Engineering Manager, you'll play a key role in shaping the architecture, processes, and culture of the engineering team. You'll guide a group of skilled engineers working on scalable SaaS solutions powered by AWS, Node.js, JavaScript, and TypeScript.



You'll balance technical depth with people leadership by mentoring developers, promoting best practices, and ensuring timely delivery of high-quality software.



Responsibilities:

• Lead, mentor, and grow a team of software engineers.
• Drive the design and development of modern, scalable SaaS applications.
• Collaborate closely with Product and Design to deliver impactful features.
• Ensure best practices in code quality, testing, and CI/CD.
• Own technical decisions related to architecture, performance, and security.
• Contribute to a positive, inclusive, and high-performing engineering culture.

Requirements:

• Several years of professional software development experience whilst being in a leadership or management role.
• Strong background in Node.js, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
• Experience with AWS services and cloud-native architectures.
• Proven track record of building and scaling SaaS products.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Comfortable working in an agile environment.

Nice to have:

• Experience with React or other modern front-end frameworks.
• Familiarity with DevOps, containers (Docker/Kubernetes), or serverless architectures.
• Prior experience in startup or fast-growing product teams.

We're working with a forward-thinking organisation that's scaling its AI capabilities on Microsoft Azure. As part of a strategic initiative, they're looking for a Security Architect with deep hands-on experience in Azure cloud security and Generative AI (GenAI) deployments.

What You'll Be Doing

• Assess and enhance the security posture of GenAI and AI platforms built on Azure
• Design secure, scalable cloud architectures aligned with business and compliance needs
• Define and implement a road map for security uplift across Azure services
• Collaborate with engineering teams to embed secure-by-design principles into the development life cycle
• Identify and mitigate GenAI-specific risks

Key Responsibilities

-Design, develop, and maintain modern web applications using Java (Spring Boot) for backend services and JavaScript (React/Node.js) for frontends.

-Build and integrate RESTful APIs to ensure seamless communication between components.

-Deploy, monitor, and scale applications using AWS cloud services such as EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS, and CloudFormation.

-Collaborate with UX/UI designers, QA engineers, and product managers to deliver exceptional user experiences.

Requirements:
