    About the Company:

    FRG Technology Consulting is working alongside a Tier-1 organisation who are looking for a .NET Developer to join their team in Canberra, Melbourne or Sydney.

    You will work alongside a multidisciplinary agile team to accelerate the effective development of new and existing services.



    Responsibilities:
    • Design and implement software solutions that meet project specifications.
    • Develop prototypes to validate technology choices and project requirements.
    • Perform unit, system, and integration testing; monitor results and address any issues.
    • Identify and resolve bugs or issues that arise during testing and production.
    • Provide support outside of regular hours as needed.
    • Collaborate in gathering and documenting system and service requirements.
    • Follow established engineering and project management processes.
    • Perform routine maintenance and handle defect resolution for applications.
    • Maintain regular communication with customers to manage and fulfill their expectations.
    • Deliver high-quality customer service and support.
    • Focus on enhancing applications and support services through ongoing improvements.
    • Work with the team on the analysis, design, and development of application enhancements.
    • Conduct thorough testing of application changes and defect fixes.




    Key Skills:
    • Expertise in .Net framework versions and related technologies for building robust applications.
    • Proficient in front-end web development, creating responsive and user-friendly interfaces with strong skills in JavaScript and TypeScript for dynamic and scalable web applications. Ideally you will have experience with Angular 12 (other Frontend frameworks considered)
    • Familiarity with SQL Server for database management and operations.
    • Understanding of DevOps practices for continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD).
    • Knowledge of ITIL practices for IT service management.

    Role Overview

    We are seeking an Embedded Software Architect with relevant experience to join the team in Sydney on a permanent basis. You will be focused on developing and maintaining the Linux-based software whilst collaborating closely with the entire embedded software team to innovate and enhance the company's world-leading sensor platform.     Key Responsibilities
    • Design and lead the architecture for the embedded sensor platform.
    • Drive the appropriate processes, procedures, software practices, and tools throughout the development lifecycle.
    • Work with multiple smaller teams of embedded software engineers.

    • Collaborate with the engineering team to ensure reliable and robust end-to-end system operation.

    Required Skills and Experience
    • At least 5 years of experience in embedded software development and architecture.
    • Proficiency in high-level programming languages such as Python, C++, and Go.
    • Experience with inter-device communication using gRPC, REST, raw TCP/UDP, and high-performance messaging protocols.
