Business Application Manager - Leading Financial Institution
Oslo (Aker Brygge) | Hybrid | Full-Time

We're hiring a Business Application Manager to join the technology team at one of Norway's largest financial institutions. The organisation plays a key role in funding sustainable development across the country and is prioritising investment in modern technology.

In this role, you'll help manage and develop critical business applications used across lending, customer operations, compliance, and more. You'll work closely with both internal teams and external software vendors to ensure our systems support the business effectively and evolve with its needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand needs and define system requirements

  • Translate business processes into system functionality and configuration

  • Create and maintain solution documentation

  • Coordinate development and implementation with internal and external teams

  • Manage and follow up on deliveries from software vendors

  • Plan and manage software releases and upgrades

  • Take ownership of day-to-day system operations and support

Who We're Looking For:

  • Degree in IT, finance, accounting, or similar (relevant experience may substitute)

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role

  • Experience with business applications and systems (operation, configuration, maintenance)

  • Technical understanding (e.g. SQL Server, XML/XSLT, HTML, C#, .NET) is an advantage

  • Experience working with vendors or integrated system landscapes is desirable

  • Familiarity with banking or financial services is a plus, but not essential

What's on Offer:

  • A central role in the implementation and development of two new core systems

  • Exposure to a broad part of the business and the opportunity to influence system strategy

  • A flat, collaborative organisation with a strong technical environment

  • Professional development support (courses, certifications, conferences)

  • Hybrid work model and flexible hours (core hours 09:00-14:30)

  • Office in Aker Brygge with gym, cafeteria, and bike parking

  • Access to a company cabin and apartment

  • Social activities through an internal group (e.g. go-karting, sauna visits)

This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to work close to the business, take ownership of core systems, and contribute to modernising a key financial institution.

Note: The company offers a profit-sharing scheme based on performance, but this is not guaranteed.
