Unix Engineer

Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled Unix Engineer with strong expertise in patch management to join our client. This role is based onsite at a FSI client location and involves managing patching activities across enterprise-grade Unix systems



Key Responsibilities

• Execute patching and system updates across Unix family : Oracle Solaris, IBM AIX, and Red Hat Linux environments
• Diagnose and resolve issues related to patch deployment
• Collaborate with client IT teams to plan and implement patching schedules
• Maintain accurate documentation of patching activities and system changes
• Conduct monthly reviews with clients to assess vulnerabilities and advise on security posture

Key Requirements

• Proficiency in Unix family: Oracle Solaris, IBM AIX, and Red Hat Linux
• Proven experience in Unix system administration and patch management
• Experience with IBM HMC, IBM VIO, IBM PowerHA, Red Hat Virtualization, and Oracle SPARC Server is highly preferred
• Willingness to work evenings and weekends as needed
• Ability to work independently
