Front-End Developer - Bergen

A growing technology-led organisation is seeking a Front-End Developer to join its expanding product team. The company builds modern, user‑centric digital solutions designed to help customers make better operational decisions through intuitive interfaces and reliable, scalable technology.

The Position

The Front-End Developer will play a key role in shaping and developing high-quality, user-friendly applications. Working closely with designers, product specialists, and backend engineers, this person will help turn complex requirements into smooth and accessible digital experiences.

The role is offered as a full-time position based in Bergen, with the option to work from the organisation's office in Stockholm.

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute as part of an autonomous, cross‑functional team responsible for solving end‑to‑end product challenges
• Help shape engineering practices, workflows and culture within a growing environment
• Build and maintain web applications using TypeScript, React, and MaterialUI/JSS
• Support strong architectural standards and rapid delivery through methods such as TDD and CI/CD
• Collaborate with designers and backend engineers to integrate data and services via REST APIs
• Ensure complex logic is transformed into clear, intuitive UI components

Requirements

Essential

• Must be located in Bergen or Stockholm
• Strong experience with React, including an understanding of how the framework works under the hood
• Experience testing React applications
• Proficiency with TypeScript and basic OOP fundamentals
• Understanding of HTTP and REST APIs
• Basic knowledge of internet, networking, and infrastructure concepts
• Strong CSS/UI experience
