A leading UK-based professional services firm is undergoing a major digital transformation and is seeking an experienced
Enterprise Technical Architect to lead the evolution of its data and cloud architecture.
With a growing footprint through both hiring and acquisitions, the organisation is consolidating its technology platforms across newly acquired businesses. This is a multi-year program with strategic importance, and this role will be central to shaping the data and technology strategy in collaboration with senior leadership.
Role Overview
Assess and document the current-state data landscape, including on-premises, cloud, and legacy systems.
Develop and deliver a unified data architecture strategy that aligns with broader cloud and application strategies.
Lead data modernisation initiatives, such as:
Migrating SSIS to Azure Data Factory (ADF)
Replacing SSRS with Power BI
Drive improvements in data flow, quality, accessibility, and governance across the business.
Help position the organisation for advanced analytics and AI enablement.
Work hands-on with engineering teams where needed - this is both a strategic and technical role.
Ideal Candidate
Extensive experience in enterprise-level architecture roles, particularly in data and cloud transformation.
Deep understanding of modern data platforms, cloud services (Azure preferred), and legacy integration.
Experience with tools such as ADF, SSIS, Power BI, SQL Server, and related technologies.
Ability to work across departments, manage stakeholder expectations, and provide clear technical leadership.
Comfortable in fast-paced environments undergoing change due to growth and acquisition.
Industry experience in legal or professional services is not required.
