Junior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) - Critical National Infrastructure Project
Location: On-site in Wokingham/Hybrid - 3 days on site
Start Date: 4-6 weeks

A contract opportunity is available for a Junior Site Reliability Engineer to support a high-profile UK Critical National Infrastructure programme. The role involves providing operational support for a key national platform as part of a long-term transformation initiative.

This is an on-site role based in Wokingham/Reading, working 2-3 days per week on a rotation basis. Remote work is not permitted due to the sensitive nature of the project.

Key Requirements


  • 1-2 years of hands-on experience with Red Hat OpenShift


  • Exposure to Azure environments


  • Familiarity with SRE principles and platform operations


Desirable Experience
While not essential, experience with any of the following technologies would be beneficial:


  • GitOps, Istio, Tekton


  • Grafana, VMware, ACM


  • Artifactory, Bitbucket, HashiCorp Vault


  • YAML and Bash scripting


Security Requirements


  • BPSS clearance is required to start


  • Candidates must be UK citizens


  • SC clearance is preferred, but eligibility to undergo SC vetting is acceptable
