Senior Business Analyst - Data & Systems Architecture - Hybrid - Up to £68k

Location: Hybrid, UK

Salary: Up to £68,000 per annum

Contract: Permanent, Full-time



A leading UK organisation is seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst with a strong background in database design, data modelling, and systems impact assessment. This is a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of strategic data architecture and operational analytics support, influencing enterprise-wide data strategy while working hands-on with technical teams.

In this role, the Senior Business Analyst will spend approximately 80% of their time leading critical data model refinement and impact assessment projects, ensuring that proposed structural changes to complex systems are delivered with minimal disruption. The remaining 20% will involve supporting the Data & Analytics function in delivering system enhancements, reporting capabilities, and performance improvements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead detailed impact assessments of proposed data model changes across multiple interconnected systems.
  • Map dependencies between proprietary and commercial platforms, including ServiceNow.
  • Collaborate with technical architects to design optimised, future-proof data structures.
  • Develop migration strategies and roadmaps for approved model changes.
  • Translate analytical requirements into clear technical specifications.
  • Support testing and user acceptance activities for data and analytics enhancements.
  • Act as the bridge between technical teams and business stakeholders.


Essential Skills & Experience:
  • Strong Business Analysis experience, with a focus on databases and data systems.
  • Expert knowledge of relational database design, normalisation, and data modelling.
  • Proficiency in SQL, database optimisation, and data mapping.
  • Strong understanding of ETL processes, data warehousing concepts (Snowflake advantageous), and API integrations.
  • Experience with both custom-built systems and commercial platforms.
  • Awareness of cloud-based architecture, ideally Azure.
  • Proven ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

About the Role



We're hiring a Junior Contract Application Specialist to support our PAS (Policy Administration System) operations, specifically within the Eclipse Broking platform. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a leading Lloyd's of London broker, contributing to the smooth running and enhancement of core insurance systems.

You'll be part of a collaborative team, providing technical support and development insight across our application landscape. The role is ideal for someone with a solid technical foundation in Eclipse Broking, a background in insurance, and exposure to wider application support environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day technical support for the Eclipse Broking system.
  • Assist with troubleshooting, configuration, and minor enhancements.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth application performance and integration.
  • Support wider application landscape including SQL Server and API-based systems.
  • Document and escalate issues as needed, ensuring timely resolution.


Required Experience

  • Technical understanding of Eclipse Broking (PAS).
  • Experience working within the insurance sector, ideally Lloyd's market.
  • Exposure to SQL Server, including basic querying and troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with API integrations and general application support.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.

We are seeking a skilled SQL Data Analyst and Reporting Developer to assist with the development and support of reports, dashboards and visualisations for program. There are a number of internal data sources to capture and present move schedules, inventory, user details and hardware asset tracking.



Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Develop and maintain OLAP Cubes, Excel reports from SQL using Excel Power Query and Power Pivot (inc DAX)
  • Develop and maintain Dashboards and Visualisations in PowerBI/Tableau from SQL source
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project deadlines.
