Job Title: Business Unit Engagement and End User Technology Deployment Manager

We are seeking a dedicated Business Unit Engagement and End User Technology Deployment Manager to lead the deployment and scheduling of advanced End User technology solutions. This role will focus on engaging with business units to ensure seamless transitions and minimal disruption to operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Business Unit Engagement: Collaborate with various business units to understand their technology needs and ensure alignment with project objectives.
• End User Technology Deployment: Manage the deployment and configuration of advanced End User technology solutions, including workstations, multi-monitor setups, and trader-specific tools.
• Scheduling: Develop and manage detailed schedules for technology deployments, ensuring timely execution and minimal disruption to business operations.
• Stakeholder Management: Work closely with internal teams and external vendors to align project deliverables with business objectives.
• People Moves and Changes: Plan and execute technology-related relocations, ensuring seamless transitions for staff.
• Reporting and Documentation: Provide regular progress reports to senior leadership and maintain comprehensive project documentation.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Project Management, or a related field (PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent certification preferred).
• 10+ years of project management experience in technology infrastructure, preferably in investment banking or financial services.
• Proven track record of delivering complex projects, including End User technology deployments.
• Strong understanding of IT infrastructure and financial industry requirements.
• Exceptional organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment with strict deadlines.

As the Technical Project Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the architecture and delivery of scalable data governance solutions, with a strong focus on Microsoft Purview and Azure-native tools.

This is a unique opportunity to lead a pilot team that will set the standard for data cataloguing and governance across a multi-national, multi-domain environment. You'll be working in a space where ownership is often unclear, so your ability to bring clarity, structure, and momentum will be key.

What You'll Be Doing

• Leading the implementation of metadata and cataloguing solutions using Microsoft Purview and Azure.
• Defining and delivering data products in domains that lack clear data ownership.
• Managing stakeholders across departments and geographies to ensure alignment and delivery focus.
• Ensuring cloud data security and compliance, including data loss prevention strategies.
• Balancing strategic oversight with hands-on technical delivery.

What We're Looking For

• 10+ years in technical project management, data engineering, or architecture.
• Deep experience in data cataloguing, metadata management, and data governance.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Purview, Azure Data Factory, and Azure tenant setup.
• Familiarity with tools like Databricks, Collibra, or Elation is a big plus.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Fluent in English; Finnish or Swedish is a major advantage.

Technology & Data Project Manager - Contract

Responsibilities and Requirements :

• Understand and document the high level scope and business value (outcomes) for every Technology and Data initiative in the backlog working the stakeholders as appropriate

Project Manager / Lead Data catalog Expert - Contract

Need a project manager who is comfortable working in data catalog implementations. Will be a greenfield implementation of MS Purview from a data catalog perspective. Their customer needs urgent help in this Seniority to drive their new Data management strategy. Should have worked in technical projects and cloud envirionments - but most importantly in data cartaloging implementations.

*Only accepting candidates from UK, Finland or Sweden

Fully Remote (2-3 days in Stockholm per month expenses paid for)

Outside IR35



Technical Skills:

(Minimum 10+ years' experience)

• Proven experience in data cataloging, metadata management, and data governance
• Strong understanding of Microsoft Purview, (can understand and validate integration with Azure Data Factory, setup of Purview in a Azure tenant and integration with Databricks Unity catlog)
• Ability to define and articulate what a data product is within a business domain and to drive all aspects of creation and curation - teach data owners and business users in the need of a data catalog and how to handle it.
• Experience in data engineering, technical project management, or architectural roles is a plus
• Knowledge of tools like Databricks, Collibra, or Elation is a big plus

Soft Skills:

(Senior Project Management)

• Comfortable working in domains without intial clear data ownership and securing/escalating when such is not in place.
• Strong stakeholder management across highly divisional environments
• Ability to maintain focus and clarity in complex, multi-team settings
• Excellent communication skills in English; Finnish and/or Swedish is a strong advantage. (If you find a Finnish, Swedish speaker you've hit the jackpot). Avoids jargon, can explain complex concepts simply
• Able to enforce governance even when business pressure is high.
• Strategic mindset with hands-on delivery capability
