System Administrator - Infrastructure Team

Our client has been a prominent retail presence in Hong Kong for decades. With extensive stores, it offers diverse merchandise and excellent customer service. Additionally, the company has substantial property investments, including prime commercial properties in Hong Kong, the United States, and Australia, facilitating both retail and leasing operations.



Responsibilities:
  • Via Microsoft AD, Exchange email, VM platform, and endpoints system to perform installations, upgrades, configurations, administration, troubleshooting, patching, and monitoring.
  • Oversee backup procedure, restoration operations and system storage management.
  • Contribute to the strategic planning and execution of systems and network integration initiatives.
  • Set up security configurations and manage access permissions.
  • Examine and report on security and attempted breaches within computer systems.
  • Coordinate and work closely with vendors, suppliers, distributors, and contract consultants.
  • Assess the suitability of new technologies and platforms for addressing business challenges.
  • Provide mentorship to junior staff regarding daily operations and configuration.


Requirements:
  • Minimum 3 years of solid experience in IT system administration within Microsoft/Linux environments.
  • Hands on experience in Windows computer and server environments such as the Open-Source platform, Microsoft Active Directory, Group Policy Objects (GPOs) and Cloud platforms.
  • Skilled in utilizing CLI, PowerShell, or alternative scripting languages to administer Windows services, Microsoft 365 services, and automate various tasks.
  • Familiar with Ethernet, VLANs, QOS, routing, switching, and IP addressing, with experience in virtualization technologies (Esxi/KVM) is a plus.
  • Attaining vendor certificates such as CCNA or Microsoft is a plus.
  • Portray strong communication skills, self-motivation, and careful attention to detail.
  • Demonstrate a passion in learning new technologies and enhancing existing solutions.
  • Fluency in both spoken and written English and Chinese.
  • Prefer immediate starter.
  • A degree or higher diploma holder in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent field is and advantage.
