    Position

    This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Data Warehouse Developer to join our expanding IT team responsible for the development and maintenance of our mission critical applications.

    Key Responsibilities
    • Design and implement ETL procedures for intake of data from both internal and outside sources, as well as ensure data is verified and quality is checked.
    • Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders in ensuring data warehouse architecture development and utilization.
    • Work with business analysts and project managers to develop and refine reporting and analytics requirements.
    • Work on complex projects that require both depth and breadth of knowledge in a number of technologies and the business.

    Experience:

    • Strong data modeling and dimensional modeling skills (including slowly changing dimensions).

    • Experienced in designing, building and maintaining large/complex Data Warehouse systems is desirable.
    • Experience with Tableau is also desirable.

    I am looking for a Freelance, Finnish-speaking, Azure Data Platform Engineer to take ownership of a modern Azure-based data platform, with a focus on standardisation, security, and operational excellence. This role sits at the platform level, enabling multiple data teams to deliver data products quickly, securely, and consistently.



    Key Responsibilities



    • Design, build, and evolve a standardised Data Landing Zone / Lakehouse platform in Azure


    • Create reusable frameworks, patterns, and "golden paths" to enable uniform ways of working across data teams


    • Build metadata- and configuration-driven ingestion frameworks to onboard new data sources efficiently


    • Ensure strong security and governance across the platform, including identity and access management (RBAC, managed identities, Key Vault, policies, logging)


    • Establish and maintain CI/CD pipelines, deployment patterns, and environment structures (dev/test/prod, multiple domains)


    • Own platform operability, including monitoring, incident management, and continuous improvement

    About the Role



    My client, a leading Microsoft Partner, is seeking an experienced Data Engineer to design and deliver modern data platform solutions for a broad range of UK organisations, from fast-growing startups to large enterprises and public sector bodies.

    This is a highly client-facing consultancy role, combining strong data engineering capability with excellent communication and stakeholder engagement. You'll play a key role in guiding customers from traditional reporting into advanced, insight-driven and intervention-led data solutions that deliver real business value.

    You'll primarily focus on data platform and engineering workloads, working closely with analytics and reporting specialists to deliver end-to-end Data & Analytics solutions.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Lead and contribute to scoping, design, documentation, and implementation of data platform solutions
    • Run client workshops to gather requirements and shape technical solutions
    • Produce clear High-Level Design (HLD) and Low-Level Design (LLD) documentation
    • Implement data solutions in line with agreed architecture and delivery standards
    • Act as a technical authority during delivery, working closely with clients and project managers
    • Collaborate within cross-functional teams delivering multi-technology solutions
    • Provide technical assurance and governance throughout project lifecycles
